Rail-welding machine B120AC
BAIDIN GmbH offers suspension-type AC flash butt rail-welding machine B120AC. It provides in-field flash welding of rails by continuous or pulsating burning-off, followed by flash trimming. Rail cross sectional area ranges from 6500mm2 to 12000mm2.
The welder B120AC can be powered from AC mains, diesel-generator plant and motor-generator set.
Advantages of the flash butt welder B120AC:
- The guaranteed high stability of welding quality according to the European standard EN 14587-2
- Powerful performance
- Completely automated process of rails centering
- Completely automated process of welding
- Possibility to weld the long strings of welded rails direct on the way due to big travel (150 mm) of the welding machine mobile case (tightening of strings).
- Completely automated and independent process of rag cutting (flash) without unclamping movement of both ends of the welded rails
- Computer documenting (certification) of each welding seam (joint) with registration of all operational parameters
The primary side of a welding transformers of a machine is powered by a 3-to-1 phase converter. This converter rectify 3-phase genset voltage and creates a single-phase 50 Hz sinusoidal voltage. This innovative solution creates more uniform load on a genset, without major imbalance. Also this solution enables on-the-fly regulation and stabilization of the primary voltage on welding transformers.
More than that, use of such converter for a voltage regulation allow one to refuse from using SCR regulation and bulky autotransformers, while maintaining more favorable conditions for welding process, as the current is sinusoidal also.
The complete set of delivery includes:
